A territory with cycling at its genesis

Anadia is one of the Portuguese municipalities with a stronger connection to the two-wheeled world. Proof of that is the existence of the Anadia High Performance Centre – National Velodrome, in Sangalhos, which is, in Europe, the only Satellite Centre of the World Cycling Centre of the Union Cycliste Internationale. This modern sports complex, inaugurated in 2009, was created to train national and international athletes in a high performance regime. In recent years, conditions have been created for training sessions and training camps, with the support of specialized coaches from the Portuguese Cycling Federation and also the medical department.
